The question I get asked the most is why I called my business Royal Harrison Photography. There are two reasons why I chose that name - both which are equally silly.
First, I'm ridiculously obsessed with Wes Anderson movies, The Royal Tenenbaums in particular. I couldn't find a man with the last name Tenenbaum to marry, so Harrison it is. :)
Second, I have three amazing children whose nicknames fit into the "royal" theme. I'd love to introduce you to:
Cole is 9 and an amazingly kind and intuitive boy. Paige is 6 and all things girly, kisses, and rainbows. Ozzie is 3 and there has never been a kid "do three" better than him.
They keep me on my toes, make me laugh and cry, and are my inspiration for photography each and every day.
I grew up in Carthage, Missouri, but moved away nearly 20 years ago. I've lived all over the country, but finally settled down in Little Rock, Arkansas, where I met and married a good-ole southern boy. Jon and I are going on 12 years of marriage. Last year, he ended up getting a job offer in Joplin and much to my surprise - I came back to Southwest Missouri! Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to come back home! The kids have fallen in love with Carthage - their schools, their new friends, their cousins. We are so excited to be home again and since opening up a photography business, I've had the amazing opportunity to bump into many old friends and make many new ones!
